IN THIS SPACE:

  • All comers are welcome. There is no such thing as exclusion. There is no such thing as sitting alone.
  • We believe that your life is a story worth telling.
  • We recognize that words can be more dangerous than weapons. You have the freedom to speak your beliefs, but we ask that you be kind.
  • It’s okay to perform with your outside voice.
  • Everyone is a poet, musician, storyteller, or artist. Whether it’s your first time on stage or your thousandth, we want to hear and listen to your words.
  • We clap after each performance, we snap when someone is struggling, we treat strangers like neighbors.
  • “Talent” is only measured by a willingness to speak or listen bravely.
  • We respect that it takes guts to get on stage. We listen to one another and strive to give each person the attention they deserve.
  • We’ll buy you a beer if you’re having an awful night. Just ask.
  • We celebrate non-conformity, daring thoughts, and silencing the naysayers.
  • We believe that story telling is healing, but so is listening. Both forms of participation are welcome.
